Color Theory TR Week 7

Week 7 Recap - Both Tues and Thurs we worked on the alteration aspect of the ink blot and printing out the pixel portrait for the 25th of March critique.

Color Theory MW Week 7

Week 7 Recap - Monday and Wednesday we worked on both the ink blot computer alterations and the pixel portrait/egg projects. The pixel project is slated to be critiqued on Wed Mar 24.

2D Design Week 7

Week 7 Recap - Monday we collected the Big Small Project, and introduced the Symbol Design Project. A demonstration was given on creating thumbnail drawings based on the theme: 4 Elements (earth, air, fire, water) or Planets (mercury, venus....Pluto). Wednesday I presented the rough sketch ideas from which the Whale and grenade were selected for a final piece. Monday March 22 student rough sketches are due, and the final piece critique is Wed Mar 24th.

Figure Drawing 2 Week 6

Week 6 Recap - Tuesday class was canceled, while Thursday we had Anatomy Lecture for the Lower Leg. Next week will be Anatomy of the Arms. Homework is Chapter 8 p76-106 Two copied drawings of the arms and hands. Students should take deliberate care to make drawings that imitate the original artists line, proportion, structure and tone.

Painting 2 Week 6

Week 6 Recap - Tuesday was open lab, while Thursday we held our critique for projects 1 and 2. Grades should be back for midterm. Students are encouraged to begin work on projects 3 4 and 5. Corpus Humanus, Poetry based theme and Student choice Final. Next critique will be March 25th for project 3.

Week 6 Recap - Tuesday was open lab, while Thursday we worked in the computer lab on both the color ink blot and the pixelation of a portrait. These projects will continue next week.

Week 6 Recap - Monday and Wednesday we worked in the computer lab on both the Color alteration of the Ink Blot and the Pixelation of either an egg or portrait. This will continue next week.

2D Design Week 6

Week 6 Recap - This week we spent both days working on the Big/Small project in class. My demonstration is based on Red Strip S/B and the Egyptian Sphinx B/S. This example shows a reversal of whales and fish. Critique will be on Monday March 8th.
