2D Design Week 3

Week 3 Recap - Monday we continued working on project #2 Color Wheel. Wednesday we held our second critique for the color wheel project. Project #3 Atmospheric Space was also introduced. Monday Feb 15th is our first of two lecture days about composition. Students should be on time for the discussions and exercises worth 50pts each day.

Ireland/England Study Abroad Week 2

We had our initial syllabus meeting on Wed the 3rd. Our next meeting will be March 31st for a studio lab. Please look for the reading groups shortly.

Figure Drawing 2 Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Tues we had our final foreshortening drawing. Thurs we began Figure in Space. This exercise will continue Tues Feb 9th. Homework copies from pages 16 and 26 were due Thurs.

Painting 2 Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Both Tues and Thurs were open lab times for projects 1 and 2. Demos included incamminati palette self portrait and a second state to demo 1 horse and coffee can. Project 1/2 Critique looks to be set for Tuesday March 2nd. Artist painting topic is due Thursday Feb 11th.

Color Theory TR Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Tuesday and Thursday we continued to match paint swatches. Design was emphasized, my demonstration used shape from countries and areas of the earth. Tuesday Feb 9th will be the critique day for this project.

Color Theory MW Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Both Monday and Wednesday we worked on color matching, and some design strategies were discussed. This project will be due for critique on Wednesday Feb 11th.

2D Design Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Monday we continued work on the Value Intensity project. Wednesday we critique that project and introduced Project #2 Color Wheel. Students should design a non traditional solution with 12 minimum shapes to hold the primary, secondary and tertiary colors of the color wheel. This project will most likely be critiqued at the end of Wednesday Feb 11th class.
