FA 105 2D Design Week 2

Week 2 Recap - Monday we continued to work on the Value/Intensity project.  Wednesday we introduced the Color Wheel project and held critique for the Value project.  Next week color wheel lab time.

FA 104 Figure Drawing 2 Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Tues we reviewed the syllabus and supply list. Thurs we began drawing the figure by working with short gesture poses. Discussion also covered Landmarks of the body, the 6 parts of light and gesture approaches.

FA 209 Painting 1 Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Tues we reviewed the course syllabus and required supplies. Thursday we read thru chapter 1 of The Complete Oil Painter and assigned homework reading for the following week. A demonstration was given in conjunction with Project #1 Drawing with Paint (grisaille). Please see week 1 video demonstration for steps from last years course August 2010.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Tuesday we reviewed the course syllabus and supply list. Thursday students brought in paint swatches to begin Project #1 Color Match. Students will en devour to successfully match the value, hue, intensity and temperature of 30 color swatches. Finally students will present these successful matches in a concise professional manner. Likely due date of Thurs Sept 8th.

FA 202 Intermediate Drawing

Week 1 Recap - Monday we reviewed the syllabus and supply list. Wednesday we began drawing from the model and our focus object. Students will begin drawing in their sketchbook as a weekly assignment (1-2 hours or 2pages / per week) which should equal about 30 pages during this semester.

FA 105 2D Design Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Monday we reviewed the course syllabus and required supplies list. Wednesday we introduced Project #1 Value and Intensity Scale. A demonstration on starting the piece was accompanied by a slideshow lecture.
