FA 106 Color Theory Week 10

Tues and Thurs students worked on the initial studies of their robot/critter and the digital tone exploration 

FA 105 2D Design Week 10

Monday and Wednesday students worked on the ink wash and tonal lighting studies for the atmospheric perspective project 

FA 103 Figure Drawing 1 Week 9

This week students finished working on the portrait stations project, adding a features station for the forth drawing. Homework #5 hands and feet was assigned and will be the next topic for study.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 9

Tuesday and Thursday students worked on both the color box and the simple palette projects. Next demonstrations will be for the palette project and the create/destroy/create project.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 9

On Tuesday and Thursday students finished working on the color ribbon project while being introduced to the Tonal Critter/Robot project. Later Thursday students held critique for the ribbon project, discussing the concepts of light, depth, color choice and design.

FA 105 2D Design Week 9

On Monday students finished up working on their "color wheel" projects while on Wednesday students began the space (atmospheric perspective) project. Critique for the color wheel was held on Wednesday - students were asked to discuss color hue balance and design placement vs design concept. 

FA 103 Figure Drawing 1 Week 8

On Tuesday students began working on the portrait stations project. Students have been asked to draw a cast portrait, a live portrait and a skull portrait each for one class session. One of these three drawings should focus on making a structure drawing, highlighting planes and angles while downplaying tone. Thursday was day two of the stations project so students were asked to switch to the next station. Demonstrations were Tuesday live portrait structure drawing (Liz), and Thursday cast structure drawing (Venus Di milo).
