FA 106 Color Theory Week 1

Tuesday = syllabus, Thursday students began exploring color space working with warm and cool temperatures of all the hues (color families) then exploring value with tints and shades. Finally moving across the color wheel with harmonies and compliments to see intensity changes. Next week color triads

FA 105 2D Design Week 9

On Monday students finished up working on their "color wheel" projects while on Wednesday students began the space (atmospheric perspective) project. Critique for the color wheel was held on Wednesday - students were asked to discuss color hue balance and design placement vs design concept.

FA 105 2D Design Week 8

On Monday students began work on designing the color wheel and submitted the noun form project for grading. Wednesday students continued to create the color wheel designs as a demonstration was made based on the Game of Thrownes HBO series.

FA 105 2D Design Week 7

Monday we reviewed the objectives of the rough sketches and prepared them for critique on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday students were introduced to the color "wheel" project. Students will create a compiditional design to highlight the primary, secondary and tertiary colors.

FA 105 2D Design Week 9

Week 9 recap - this week we critiqued the color wheel project and started the Atmospheric Space project. Students will create a series of ink wash thumbnails, color light studies before creating a final deep space atmosphere piece

FA 105 2D Design Week 8

Week 8 recap- Monday we critiqued and submitted the Noun Form project demonstrated an abstract approach to creating the color wheel project. Wednesday students received midterm grades and worked on designing their own color "wheel".
