FA 210 Digital Painting Week 11

Tuesday students worked to complete the 5 roughs for the group project, while demonstration for both that and the caricature project were made. Thursday student got a bit more with the caricature design and set up.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 11

On Tuesday demonstration for using the image transfer in a portrait was made using Ingres Grisaille style. Thursday portrait sketches were drawn up and shellacked. Furious portrait painting sessions to begin next week. 

IL 106 Seq Art Figure Ill Week 11

This week students worked to shoot reference photos, make color comps and begin layout for their hero/villain portrait project. Demonstration for acrylic painting concepts and use of reference was made during both class sessions this week.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 10

During both class sessions students and instructor worked to layout and paint the pixel portrait project. 

FA 210 Digital Painting Week 10

On Tuesday students began class attending the Juergensen gallery reception before returning to class to work on the group projects. Thursday students continued to work on silhouettes and roughs for the character design group project. 

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 10

On Tuesday we participated in the Ivan Fortushniak workshop before also attending the lecture and reception. Thursday students began integration of the workshop pieces into the final projects.

IL 106 Seq Art Figure Ill Week 10

On Tuesday after break visiting artist Ivan Fortushniak gave a workshop on image transfer. Thursday students got back to the Hero or Villain portrait project with a demonstration for lighting for color comps.
