FA 106 Color Theory Week 8
On Tuesday students finished the face/blot project, while on Thursday we began the pixel portrait project. Demonstration began with a non traditional grid and transfer by projection. Each of the six minimum color on these portraits should have at least 5 values.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 10
This week students worked on finishing up the pixel portrait project while the color ribbon project was introduced. Students will create a 3 dimensional ribbon form with a minimum of 5 color strips and then paint convincing light and color on the form.

This week students began work on the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait project. The theme is Family again. Student focus on spreading out all hue families while placing the correct values in the correct place.

This week students worked to finish the Family Faces project and started the Robot / Critter Tonal Tint project.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 9
Tues and Thurs students worked towards completing the color ribbon project, while beginning to lay out the pixel portrait project. Mid-term grades were also provided for students to assess where their grade stands and strategize what needs to be done to achieve the desired grade in the course.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 7
Tuesday student had again another lab to work on the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait. Thursday after some lab time students critiqued what was working and what needed improvement on the pixel project. The color ribbon project was also introduced for students to begin designing.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 6
On Tuesday students began painting the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait in force. Working with 1 color at a time students should look to mix 5-6 values of each before moving to the next color. Demonstrations began last week and continued into Thursdays class. Students should have projects ready for critique on next Thursday March 6th.
