Wednesday and Thursday students began designing and painting the color triad, quad, pent or hex. We will work one more class period on the triads before switching to color matching.

FA 106 Color Theory PM Week 14 & 15

During the final two weeks of this class students focused on trying to finish their robot critter alien color tint pieces. As in the a.m. class students were careful to focus on using a subtle color tint in their project.

FA 210 Digital Painting Week 14 & 15

During the final two weeks of digital painting class students were able to work on completing their stylized portraits of celebrities. Considerations for this portrait included proportions, layers, brush style, opacity, and integration of the whole picture. Students held a 1 on 1 final review of projects with the instructor on the last day of instruction.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 14 & 15

The final two weeks of painting class gave students time to focus on completing their final painting project. Students essentially had carte blanche to choose the style, subject and palette to complete the painting. While working on the project demonstration portraits continued. A final critique was held during the last day of instruction to asses the final two painting projects of the semester

FA 106 Color Theory week 14 & 15

In the final two weeks students worked to complete their Critter/robot/alien color tint project. The color tint highlighted a dominant color (80-90%) tinted by another color (20-10%). Subtle shifts in color can have a strong influence on mood and feeling within a picture and is a great skill to master.
