FA 210 Digital Painting Week 12

This week students worked to finish their group characters on Tuesday and held critique on Thursday of the progress so far.

IL 106 Seq Art Figure Ill Week 4-5

Tues week 4 was a working lab for completing the final for Emotion Figure. Thurs week 5 we returned to hold critique for the final and introduce the Shakespeare Narrative project.

FA Painting 2 Week 8

On Tuesday students had a final lab to complete the midterm critique projects. Thursday students held a group critique of starting projects. Next critique will be Thursday April 23 with Shawn Barber.

FA 209 Painting 1 Week 15

This week student finished projects for our final critique on Thursday 

FA 209 Painting 1 Week 10

Tuesday mid-term critique was held for projects 1-5. Students were asked to give feedback on value, painted edges, composition, glazing... Then discussed good and bad aspects of the projects and what opinions they had during the process. Thursday students began working on the color box project.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 7

Tuesday was the final lab for students to finish works for the midterm critique. Demonstrations for glazing, scumbling, and velatura were made as well as limited earth palette still life. Thursday students discussed and analyzed each other's work during critique. Students should make sure to share any updates to their work made before mid term.

FA 105 2D Design Week 7

Monday we reviewed the objectives of the rough sketches and prepared them for critique on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday students were introduced to the color "wheel" project. Students will create a compiditional design to highlight the primary, secondary and tertiary colors.

FA 209 Painting 1 weeks 8-9

Weeks 8-9 recap- week 8 student had critique for projects 1-5 (grisaille, wipe out, wet in wet, warm/cool, and limited earth). Week 9 students began work on the Color Box project. Student should look to infuse the objects of the still life with heightened sense of color atmosphere.
