FA 210 Digital Painting Week 8

This week students worked on completing project 3 wet blending for midterms. Balancing the use of Photoshop and myPaint to create soft blended edges was a focus of this project. Project 4 character design was introduced Thursday.

On Tuesday students had a final lab to complete the midterm critique projects. Thursday students held a group critique of starting projects. Next critique will be Thursday April 23 with Shawn Barber.

FA 106 Color Theory AM Week 8

Pixel Twins 2015

This week students worked on the Faces Pixel portrait project as grades were returned for the color field blot project. Students will have about 1 full week after the break before this project is due.

This week students also finished up the faces and blots. Introductions were made to the Faces of the Mohawk Valley "family" project. 

FA 210 Digital Painting Week 7

This week students had lab time to finish creating a photo collage for painting in Photoshop/myPaint. Students should use at least a bit of both to complete this image. MyPaint should especially be used for blend edges and making transitions between planes. This will be our last project due before mid term . 

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 7

Student have 1 week to complete projects 1&2 for critique next Thursday March 12. Demonstrations for the Glazing/Scumbling/Velatura project and the Zorn Palette historical portrait were given.

FA 106 Color Theory AM Week 7

Both classes this week students worked on completing the examples from the color field theory project. The Faces of the Mohawk Valley "Family" project was introduced.
