Meeting #7 recap- Students met with college officials to review and discuss the major rules and tips for travel abroad. At the end of class we discussed flight #'s hotels and our tour leader.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 13
Week 13 recap- this week students continued to work on the color box, shellac, and final painting projects. Demonstration focused on mud palette and finishing the portrait projects.
FA 106 Color Theory Week 13
Week 13 recap- this week students finished their critter/robot finals and beginning the final project. For the final project students will A. Observe - paint a still life, B. Analyze - artist palette analysis, C. Interpret - combine elements of part A still life with the key color palette of part B. With two weeks students should complete parts A and B next week.

GD 101 Foundation Drawing Week 13
Week 13 recap- on Monday student began a new drawing using only white chalk/charcoal on brown craft paper to make a rendered object. Wednesday students had time to finish the brown paper drawing before starting the charcoal final. Students will have four class periods to make a well crafted picture representing the complex objects of the class still lifes.
FA 105 2D Design Week 13
Week 13 recap- this week students worked on finishing the Big Small scale project while we also introduced the Final Project. Students should consider the Elements and Principles of Composition while creating a piece.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 12
Week 12 Recap - this week students were encouraged to start all remaining projects. In doing so it is my hope to create momentum for finishing the last pieces and avoid excessive procrastination. Demonstrations included further progress on the Yeti final and the mud palette still life.
FA 106 Color Theory Week 12
Week 12 Recap- this week students finished parts 1 & 2 of the critter bot project and started part 3 placing the robot or critter in an environment with the tonal color shift. We also introduced the final project for the semester which also has three steps (observation, analyze, interpret)

Week 12 recap- this week students submitted the space project and began working on the Big - Small Scale Proportion project. The final project will be formally introduced on Monday next week.

SA 300 Amsterdam Paris Meeting 6
Week 11 Meeting 6 recap- this week students interviewed each other using questions they wrote. Students were also asked to write down what job they might want to play in the final project.

Week 11 recap- this week students began a charcoal assignment in which they were asked to render two objects of different materials (glass & plaster, metal & wood). These drawings should show different material textures through the use of value, shape and line quality.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 10
Week 10 recap - Tuesday and Thursday students began work on projects 3-5. Painting 1 students finished up the limited earth painting while introducing the color box project.

Week 10 Recap - Monday students finished work on the value key drawing project. Wednesday students began working with charcoal making a drawing that highlights the difference between line quality and tone.

Week 10 Recap - Monday students worked on creating ink wash value thumbnails for printed images. Wednesday students began creating the light condition thumbnails.
