FA 106 Color Theory Week 7

On Tuesday students were introduced to both the color ribbon project and the Faces of the Mohawk Valley Pixel Portrait project. Thursday student payed out their designs as a short demonstration on painting the first two strips of color ribbon.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 5

On Tuesday students had our first critique while reviewing the Color Field Theory - Face/Blot project. Thursday students began choosing the images and laying out the grids for the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 12

Week 12 Recap - On Tuesday students submitted their Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portraits for grading. Thursday students should be nearing completion of the Color Ribbon project. The tonal Robot/Critter project will be due for critique on Tues Nov 26. Demonstration for the Manticorpse part 3 (tonal environment) was brought to near completion.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 11

Week 11 recap- this week students finished work on both the FMV pixel portrait and the color ribbon project. Student were also introduced to the Robot/Critter project before critiquing the previous two.

FA 106 Color Theory Weeks 8-9

Weeks 8-9 recap - in week 8 students worked to have the layout and 3 colors blocked-in for the FMV pixel project. Week 9 students were introduced to the color ribbon project while finishing the pixel.

Week 7 Recap - this week students began painting their Faces of the mohawk valley pixel portraits. Students should use a variety of colors to show the correct values that the images present.

Week 5 recap- this week students worked on completing the ink blot/ double face color field theory project. Students should create the following: a. One color looking like two others, b. two colors looking like the same color, c. Color vibration, d. High and low intensity color. Next week students will begin the faces of the mohawk valley pixel portrait.
