FA 106 Color Theory Week 7

This week the PM class finished working on the color vibration and two colors looking like the same color exercises for project 2. The AM crew finished color field theory and began the pixel portrait project with a choice of theme. Theme one is family or theme two is literary figure (author, poet, play write...)

This week students worked on the Faces pixel project while getting back grades on the color field blot project.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 11

Both class sessions this week students worked on the Face pixel portrait project. Students will review progress in a group critique this coming thurs nov 13 and turn in the final image on tues nov 18.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 8

Tuesday students continued working on the color ribbon project as a demonstration on of layout and first steps on the pixel project was given. Thursday students had the opportunity to work on either project as demonstrations continued.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 5

On Tuesday students had our first critique while reviewing the Color Field Theory - Face/Blot project. Thursday students began choosing the images and laying out the grids for the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 10

Week 10 recap- This week students were asked to finish up the pixel Faces portrait and begin the layout and painting of the color ribbon project. Students should look for a critique of the ribbon project on Tues Nov 12th.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 6

Week 6 recap - this week students finished the ink blot/ double face color field theory project and began working on the Faces of the Mohawk Valley Pixel Portrait. 

FA 106 Color Theory Week 7

Week7 recap- this week students finished the pixel project with a demonstration for Faces of Mohawk Valley / Rainbow Young. The color ribbon project was introduced for next week.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 6

Week 6 Recap- Tues we printed, gridded and transferred the pixel images for our value project. Thursday students began painting their projects, specifically focusing on using all colors in different values to abstract the original picture. Demo included finishing the baby portraits and will start a large piece next week.

Week 5 Recap- Tues we finished working on the Simultaneous contrast ink blot project. Thurs we critiqued project 1 color match and turned in project 2. Demonstration on beginning project 3 pixel portrait.
