Tuesday students continued the anatomy lectures with the legs. While Thursday students made long pose drawings of the legs. Next week will feature the arms.

FA 209 Painting 1 Week 10
Tuesday mid-term critique was held for projects 1-5. Students were asked to give feedback on value, painted edges, composition, glazing... Then discussed good and bad aspects of the projects and what opinions they had during the process. Thursday students began working on the color box project.
FA 106 Color Theory Week 10
Tuesday and Thursday students continued working on the color ribbon and pixel portrait projects. Thursday at the end of class students held a critique of the ribbon project in progress. Students should have the final ribbon for grading on Tuesday at the beginning of class.

FA 101 General Drawing Week 9
Tuesday students worked on the Low Key (values 5-9) drawing while Thursday students finished the Value Stations project with the Full Value (1-9) drawing. Midterm grade progress was given and homework 3 (object x3, clouds, and Russo ticket) was due Thursday. Next week charcoal drawings will begin.
FA 104 Figure Drawing 2 Week 9
This week focused on beginning the anatomy lectures with the torso. Students made a whole class drawing of the torso on Tuesday while taking notes on the lecture and doing short pose drawings on Thursday. Midterm grades were handed out and general assessments were made on aspects of students drawing progress in class this semester. Next week anatomy will continue with the Leg.
FA 209 Painting 1 Week 9
Tuesday and Thursday students worked to complete the Limited Earth Palette project for midterm critique on Tuesday October 28th. At critique students should have the first 5 paintings from the semester (Grisaille, Wipeout, Wet in wet, Warm/Cool, Lim Earth) other considerations for midterms are homework and effort/attendance.
FA 106 Color Theory Week 9
Tues and Thurs students worked towards completing the color ribbon project, while beginning to lay out the pixel portrait project. Mid-term grades were also provided for students to assess where their grade stands and strategize what needs to be done to achieve the desired grade in the course.
