(1 - Highlight HL, 2 - Light L, 3 - Half Tone 1/2T, 4 - Reflected Light RL, 5 - Core Shadow CS, 6 - Cast Shadow CA). On Thursday students focused on the balance aspect of creating a drawing. Using vertical balance lines from either the Pit of the neck (front view), Ear (side view) or the C7 vertebrae (back view). Students worked to fit the whole figure on the page while also making sure the balance with the feet was correctly placed. Next week we will study figure space.
