Students made last touch ups and finishes to midterm projects before final grading. Simple palette demonstration of an abstracted landscape was made for project 3.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 8
On Tuesday and Thursday student worked on the color ribbon project exploring how to high light the concepts of light, color and space. This project will continue after break.
FA 105 2D Design Week 8
On Monday students began work on designing the color wheel and submitted the noun form project for grading. Wednesday students continued to create the color wheel designs as a demonstration was made based on the Game of Thrownes HBO series.

FA 103 Figure Drawing Week 7
Tuesday student made their long pose torso midterm drawing. Thursday students were introduced to the proportions and tips for drawing the head and portrait. Homework for the torso was due on Thursday. Next week students have a text homework for the head.
FA 218 Painting 2 Week 7
Tuesday was the final lab for students to finish works for the midterm critique. Demonstrations for glazing, scumbling, and velatura were made as well as limited earth palette still life. Thursday students discussed and analyzed each other's work during critique. Students should make sure to share any updates to their work made before mid term.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 7
Tuesday student had again another lab to work on the Faces of the Mohawk Valley pixel portrait. Thursday after some lab time students critiqued what was working and what needed improvement on the pixel project. The color ribbon project was also introduced for students to begin designing.
FA 105 2D Design Week 7
Monday we reviewed the objectives of the rough sketches and prepared them for critique on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday students were introduced to the color "wheel" project. Students will create a compiditional design to highlight the primary, secondary and tertiary colors.
