Ireland/England Study Abroad Week 1

The official date has been set for the trip May 25- June 3. Meeting 1 tba.

Figure Drawing 2 Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Thursday the 21st we read through the syllabus and visited the Mac lab to sign up for the wiggio account. Tuesday we had a free draw class were student drawing was assessed and open to any type of technique. Thursday we began making the foreshortened pose drawings. Tuesday Feb 2nd will be a long pose foreshortened drawing day and will be graded. HOMEWORK: Textbook Bammes pages 16 (all three figures) and 26 (any 5 figures) copied into your sketchbook. Painting 2 Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Thursday 21st we reviewed the syllabus and course materials. Tuesday we began planning projects 1 and 2. A demonstration was given for 1 painting of project 1. Thursday a demonstration was given for the portrait project and used the shellac process on paper. Here is an image from that demo.

Color Theory TR Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Thursday the 21st we reviewed the syllabus and visited the computer lab and library. Tuesday we began mixing color swatches and had a presentation and demonstration. Thursday we continued the match project.

Color Theory MW Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Monday we read through the syllabus, visited the computer lab and made a drawing. Wednesday we began the color match project. Looking at past students works for this project, we explored ideas and worked to match the colors. Mondays class will cover design aspects for the project.

2D Design Week 1

Week 1 Recap - Monday we read thru the syllabus, visited the computer lab and talked about the semesters projects. Wednesday we began creating the Value/Intensity scale project. We made thumbnail sketches to analyze solutions, and discussed the Creative Process. This image is the start of my demonstration, the robot is the intensity scale (red) and the sky and rabbitzilla is the value scale. For project handout please see the wiggio folder file. Project will be critiqued on Wed Feb 3rd.
