Week 13 Recap - We began the Final Series of drawings. Final 1 was based on Bernini's St Longinus and ran for three days. The next two weeks will be based on art chosen by the models and students.

This week we held lab for both the cast/portrait and the final projects. Student were also treated to a killer drapery demonstration!

Week 13 Recap - This week we held lab time for working on the Critter Tonal project and reviewed the color ribbon project. The final project will be introduced on Tues Nov 30th.

FA 211 Printmaking Week 13

Week 13 Recap - During this week we held labs to work on both the Etching project (Personal Evolution/Dual Self) and the Final (Era) project. Students were required to submit a proof for stage 1 of the etch, with stage 2 due Mon Nov 29th.

Week 12 Recap - This week we held the Figure in space final on Tuesday and visited the Anatomy Lab on Thursday. We will begin our final drawings next week.

Week 12 Recap - The academic cast demo continued on Monday and Thursday, while I also made an Incamminati style demo on Thursday. Both demos are shown here.

Week 12 Recap - We had both labs to work on the Color Ribbon project. The critter project will begin lab time on Tues after critique.

Week 12 Recap - this week we held critique for project 3 and had more lab time for project 4 dry point. The final project theme will be Eras.

Week 11 Recap - We held our final portrait drawing session and then revisited the figure in space. We will hold a Fig Space final on Tues nov 9th.

Week 11 Recap - Due to last weeks lab disruption the palette project critique was pushed to Nov 9th. An introduction to academic and incamminati style of cast and portrait painting will be given in the next week.

Week 11 Recap - we critiqued the Color Harmony/Compliment project and began working on the color ribbon project due for critique on thursday nov 11th.

FA 211 Printmaking Week 11

Week 11 Recap - due to lack of black waterbased ink in the lab an extension on the critique until Mon Nov 8th. Students should also be working on their Personal Evolution/Dual Self drypoint etching.
