FA 106 Color Theory Week 8

On Tuesday students finished the face/blot project, while on Thursday we began the pixel portrait project. Demonstration began with a non traditional grid and transfer by projection. Each of the six minimum color on these portraits should have at least 5 values.

FA 210 Digital Painting Week 8

This week students worked on finishing up the Environmental Deaign painting for midterm critique on Thursday. The Character Design project was also introduced and explained on both class days.

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 8

Tuesday students had their last lab to work on finishing pieces for the mid term critique on Thursday. Demonstration for the Glaze, Scumble and Velatura project was given. 

IL 106 Seq Art Figure Ill Week 8

This week demonstration for finishing the graphic Shakespeare project continued. Thursday student had a group critique for this project.

FA 106 Color Theory Week 7

On Tuesday students worked to complete more of the double face/ink blot exercises. On Thursday students had the opportunity to attend the first annual I 💚 Utica day for DGV credit. Individual progress critiques also were given for students near the end of class.

FA 210 Digital Painting Week 7

This week students had lab time to work on the Environmental Design project. During Thursday's class students also were able to sit in on the SmArt school class from Gregg Manchess. 

FA 218 Painting 2 Week 7

On Tuesday paint 1 students were introduced to the Limited Earth palette painting project. Using only Ivory Black, Alizarin Crimson, Raw Sienna and Titanium White to mix a secondary mix of Plum, Russett and Citrine. Thursday the demonstration for the Rembrandt style painting continued.

IL 106 Seq Art Figure Ill Week 7

On Tuesday student worked to complete the 3 full page thumbnail layouts for the graphic Shakespeare narrative project. Thursday students were tasked with completing a mixed media test to gain practice for completing the final.
