Week 14 Recap - this week students worked on their final project due May 7th (10prints 8"x10") Demonstrations included signing the relief demo and printing an Artist Proof for the final Relief image "Manticore".

Week 13 Recap - This week students finished up their Critter/Bot project and started the final project.  The three parts are in the previous post for the MW class. Students should meet with the instructor to make their Analysis printout on Tuesday.

Week 13 Recap - This week students were grouped together to create an abstract narrative.  Students created a key for establishing the characters, then planned out different scenes for each student to create a composition.

Week 13 Recap - This week students finished up the color ribbon project and were introduced to the Final project.  The final project will have 2 parts a painting analysis and a palette interpretation painting based on the analysis.  A still life painting can also be made for extra credit. Demonstrations will be given for each part.

Week 12 Recap - This week students finished up the Big Small proportion project.  We also introduced the Abstract Narrative project which will begin Mon Apr 16th.  In critique on Wednesday students spoke about their project progress and plans for completing for submission on Mon.

Week 12 Recap - This week students submitted the project 3 Aquatint series for grading.  Demo for the "Dude" print will begin on Monday.  Students should begin planning for the final print series 8"x10" paper with the theme of Mythical Creatures.  Due the last day of class May 7th.

Robot/Critter Stage 1 Demo

Week 11 Recap - This week students should have finished laying out and painting their robot or critter for our tonal project.  Next week students will colorize and repaint the subject placing it in its environment.

FA 105 2D Design Week 11

Big Small Scale Demo

Week 11 Recap - This week students began creating two pieces that show something big looking small and something small looking big.  Each should use CONTEXT to highlight what is normal size and what has been shrunk or enlarged.  Students can use any media other than graphite. A one on one critique will be held on Monday with each student to review progress, while the final group critique of finished projects will be held on Wednesday.
